I am multidisciplinary artist exploring storytelling through material, memory, and myth. My work draws inspiration from the rich visual traditions of Indian folklore, epics, and devotional imagery, which I reinterpret through experimental contemporary processes.
I work across painting, mixed media, and lens-based explorations, often incorporating unconventional materials and organic textures to build layered, tactile surfaces. My practice is deeply process-driven, allowing curiosity, movement, and material behavior to shape the final work. Themes of play, transformation, and cultural memory frequently appear in my work, where mythological references intersect with everyday observation.
I am particularly interested in how we see and experience images. Through experiments with light, liquid, color, and magnification, I create ephemeral visual worlds that blur the boundaries between painting, photography, and abstraction.
Alongside my studio practice, I am passionate about arts education and community engagement. I teach art to children and community groups in the San Francisco Bay Area, introducing them to Indian art traditions while encouraging experimentation, imagination, and creative confidence.I have worked extensively as an art educator and have also served as a Program Director, designing and leading creative programs that bring art, storytelling, and cultural exploration to diverse communities and young learners.
My work is an ongoing dialogue between heritage and exploration, where ancient stories, playful discovery, and material experimentation come together to form new visual narratives.
