Across the United States, artists of Indian origin are creating work shaped by migration, memory, identity, tradition, experimentation, and contemporary American life. Yet finding community, visibility, and opportunity within the arts can be difficult.
IAAA exists to change that. We create spaces for artists to exhibit their work, learn from one another, build meaningful connections, and bring Indian American artistic voices to wider audiences.
Group exhibitions and opportunities that bring member artists into galleries and community spaces.
A national community of artists exchanging ideas, opportunities, feedback, and support.
Workshops, artist talks, retreats, and resources designed to help artists develop their practice.
Increasing the visibility and representation of Indian American artists in the arts community.

The goal of the 2025 Artist's Retreat in Florence, AL was to foster stronger bonds within the organization, and to make a meaningful impact in the communities that its members live in, by volunteering their time and energies in furthering the local community.
Special thanks to Amita Bhakta for leading the whole project, being our local host, opening up her home and making all the artists who showed up feel like part of one big family. Thanks to Abhishek Nigam for working on the Grant with Amita that made the retreat possible for the members to enjoy
